I gifted this to my 6 year old. He’s very into Legos and very into Spider-Man and captain America etc so I thought perfect. And it’s the new Avengers advent from Lego for 2021. Great. It is everything you expect Lego to be as far as quality and all the pieces are there plus some extras. There are instructions printed on each door for putting it together each day. There are 7 people and then other contraptions so I feel like it’s a hardy variety. But I’m thinking it’s not a great calendar for a 6 year old. He’s enjoyed opening every day. Obviously the days with a mini fig is a better day than not. But even as a mom the contraptions he opens some of the days are kind of like what is this and what’s it’s point? There are all kinds of random drones or robots. They have a Christmas twist most of them like a stocking or something but he’s gotten some items that we put together and we are like I don’t know what it does. The pictures on the box don’t show some of the things you get so we don’t know what to do with them. It’s just random things. We have several contraptions we think are different drones. Why do we need 3 drones I don’t know. I just think playability is not really there. The items aren’t part of a story line or a scene they are just there for fillers I guess. I mean what do you put in a 24 day advent? The grill is good and the people and a couple of the robots are fun. Mostly it’s a good advent I just feel like as a mom of a six year old it’s not as exciting as it could be because of all the just random contraptions. Some days he opens it up and can’t figure out what it is so he doesn’t bother to put it together till later and then once it’s together he leaves it some place just to be pieces for another imaginative thing of his mind. I would recommend this advent for an older maybe more avenger savvy person. Maybe the contraptions are obvious to die hard fans but to us it wasn’t as obvious. Hope this helps some people figure out if it’s right for them.

Every Kid always wants a gift the night before Christmas. This was a tradition even when I was a kid. I ordered this because my sons love Legos. This calendar is no more expensive than your average gift to a kid. I thought not only will it prevent the request for a gift on Christmas Eve but it gives them a toy to look forward to every single day until Christmas. Essentially this surpasses any gift youd give them the night before. It makes every morning exciting for your children and they truly feel Christmas happens everyday.I wrapped it as Christmas gifts and had it waiting under the tree on the 1st. I knocked it out of the park! My boys like me more than Santa because they took it as daily Christmas gifts all month.Im doing this every year now.FYI to the parents. Have control over it. Dont let them open everyone of them up that day. Make it last as thats its purpose.
Super Disappointing - review from actual kid

Every year we get my son a Lego advent calendar and this year it has been disappointing. half the items you don't even know what they are, there's no information on them, and they aren't even pictured on the box. Some days are just add-ons to other pieces instead of putting them all together which is SUPER CHEAP of Lego to do! last year's Lego City advent calendar had a unique item each day and it was amazing. This year has been a bit of a joke and disappointing for my 6-year-old boy. He looks forward to this every year and he's trying to laugh about it now when he gets these random dumb things. Skip this one and get a different Lego Advent calendar, trust me!
A Super Start for Marvel's Advent Calendar Journey

I love this Advent Calendar. It is the first Marvel themed LEGO advent calendar and its has a very good start. The exclusive Iron-Man and Spider-Man torso prints are just super. The Black Widow's detailed arm printing is a cherry on the top. Not to mention you get all the LEGO Infinity Stones in one $40 set. I am really happy I got this great first Marvel Advent Calendar set, and hopefully this will be the start of more fantastic and exclusive Marvel's Advent Calendar traditions.
