Definitely my favorite advent calendar. It's great for kids adults a like. I blogged about each day this past year, and my stats were booming- everyone liked following along. The calendar is a fun alternative to candy, and unlike candy, gets more fun each day as your mini Christmas scene continues to grow. It can be used as is, or as an addition to an existing Lego set. I used it to enhance my Christmas village. The only thing that could make it better is less cops robbers items. Burglary isn't very Christmassy, and it is in every year's calendar. Mix it up a bit Lego!
a Lego surprise everyday in December.

I have been giving my grandson a Lego Advent Calendar for his birthday for three years now. His birthday is in December and he gets this present early. He loves it. He looks forward to opening each door every day to reveal that Lego surprise is for that day. It's something he looks forward to every year and as long as he likes getting this for his birthday, I will continue to give it. It's pretty cute with the front flap of the box that folds down to create the scene for the Lego pieces. By Christmas the scene is complete with the Lego Santa piece on the last day. Its nice that each year the pieces and scene are different also.
Perfect for Advent, but box gives away surprise

Our kids are enjoying the LEGO Advent calendar! I don't know if this is planned, but there are extras of the tiniest pieces for each mini kit (one extra letter for the boy mailing to Santa, an extra mug for hot cocoa...). The doors are a little hard for our young kids to open, without risking tearing the image, so Mom and Dad have been getting it started.

I ended up spending several minutes wrapping the outside of the box in wrapping paper so they couldn't see what kits/figures were inside. We like surprises! The boys agreed with me that they would rather not know ahead of time.

I bought this for my son this past christmas 2015 and he loved it. we sat down as a family and did it together and it was great all around. my son loves legos and lives for them. I believe that this christmas my husband and i spent almost 1,000$ on legos because he loves them so much and he is really good at them but he loved this one with santa and the 7 mini figures that come with it. worth the money and I know kids will enjoy it! worth it!!
