Another year, another crappy advent calendar
LegoGuyYYC· Review provided by LEGO · December 9, 2024
Ah the time honoured tradition of being fooled into getting another Star Wars advent calendar. What a waste of time and money.

At least in 2024, the builds look somewhat like Star Wars stuff but the instructions, whew. I cannot tell you how bad and confusing the instructions are on these sets. One picture for 20 pieces? Beyond stupidity on Lego's part. I don't know how a beginner or young builder deciphers this instructions.

And the complete lack of minifigures, while nothing new, is also complete garbage. We should be getting a minifigure every 3 days. I'm on day 9 and have one minifigure, and one droid minifigure.

Lego needs to re-evalute how they offer this product. As it stands, for the price you can make your own advent calendar with decent instructions for way better value.

Here's hoping for 2025 they actually listen to us and offer decent value, and better instructions. Because for 2024 it's mostly a lesson in frustration.
[Rewarded Review] A Holiday Tradition!

Getting the LEGO Star Wars event calendar has become a Christmas tradition for my family. When we first started getting the sets, less than 10 years ago, it was $30. Now the price has inexplicably ballooned to $45. The same amount of content, but no perceivable improvements. With that in mind, I still recommend the set, just wait for it to go on sale. The 2024 set, like many of the previous years, contains festive minifigs. There are always some interesting mini builds in the set as well. Hope everyone enjoys them as much as we do!
Where are the minifigures!!??

It lacks the filler (weapons racks) of previous years which is a good thing and the nod towards 25 years of LEGO Star Wars is cleverly done albeit very ship heavy. It’s not particularly cohesive but that’s nothing new. However, 5 minifigures and a super battle droid is slim pickings especially when the last minifigure is on day 20. Furthermore there are only 2 festive gifts and day 24 is absolutely shocking. Overall this isn’t the strongest Star Wars advent calendar and is brought down badly by the day 24 gift. I hope next year with it being the 20th anniversary of Lego Star Wars the Video Game and Revenge of the Sith LEGO goes all in with one of these.

Well we couldn’t wait to actually use this as an advent calendar! Which I’m glad as that was the one downfall, the dividers weren’t secured down so pieces and pouches slide into other holes on us. BUT, otherwise we loved the Star Wars mini figures! The directions were ok, maybe alittle more directions would have been helpful, but nothing that stopped us. We had a great time putting it together and the smaller figures are fun to play with.
