After having live trees for 35 years my wife and I decided to purchase an artificial one.
We searched online and made several trips to local stores, we decided on a Balsam Hill Fraser fir because they look the most realistic.
I called customer service because I had a few questions, the woman I spoke to was very helpful and we placed the order on Monday November 4th.
The tree was delivered on Thursday November 7th.
I was impressed with how Balsam Hill includes extras like a storage bag, 2 pairs of gloves and extra bulbs with tool for replacing them.
I knew that we would need to spend time fluffing the tree to get it looking nice, however I wasn't prepared for the time It actually takes, there are several videos which show you how it's done, which was helpful.
We purchased a tree with the lights already installed,
I noticed that the wiring for the lights is strung tight which sometimes prohibits you from putting the branches where you want them, also, a few of the small branch tips actually broke off during the fluffing process which is concerning for a tree costing over $500. I have concerns about this continuing to happen during the packing up and unpacking and setting up process over the years.
The tree is beautiful once you take the time to get it shaped, I hope 5 years from now it will still look the same.

Our first year without a live tree. We determined to pay good money for one so it would last us years and look like a real tree and we couldn't have been more pleased with our purchase of this tree from Balsam Hill! The quality and attention to detail from the tree itself to all the accessories that came with it are impeccable. We had no difficulties setting it up, it was durable and looked gorgeous. We didn't want it pre-lit but the "simple string - easy plug" version is perfection. Were able to string our own lights with ease by plugging into the trunk of tree and only had to plug in one cord to the outlet and the foot peddle was an added bonus. We would highly recommend investing in one! Take down was just as easy and fit easily into the storage bag they provide. We will look to invest in more of their trees, wreaths and garland in the future.

After decades of putting up a "real tree" to celebrate Christmas our family decided the time has come to try something new. So this year we purchased our first artificial tree. We choose Balsam Hill after viewing their 30 spot on TV and taking some time to vet their products on their website. Our tree arrived three days after the order was placed. We set up the tree and were pleasantly surprised how "real" the tree looks! Due to our complete satisfaction with the tree, we decided to place an order of garland.

My suggestion to anyone who is considering purchasing an artificial tree, ... spend what you can afford, but remember, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Enjoy your high quality Balsam Hill tree and enjoy the Christmas holidays!

I had an old Balsam Hill tree that I used for 6 years. It had incandescent multi lights and last year a short section wouldn't light but changing a master bulb worked. This year, another section wouldn't light but neither new fuse nor master bulb worked. My husband determined the circuitry was bad. I immediately ordered a new tree, LED multi lights, on sale, and pleasantly surprised to receive it 4 days later. This tree was easier to connect the sections and had longer wiring on the remote switch which is helpful. We love it! Thank you for the ease of ordering & quick shipping.
