I had previously owned a 6ft Balsam Hill tree and I loved it. However, it was a little too large for me to handle and I decided to purchase the 4th. Just open the box to set up for Christmas and was extremely disappointed. The bag for accessories, gloves, stand was not included with this tree. I looked, unwrapped the tree hoping it was included there. I never expected that a plastic bag would replace the accessory bag included with the other tree I purchased. I probably should have checked before I purchased the tree, but why would I not expect the same quality as I received with my first purchase. This is the reason you only got 4 stars and not 5. Sorry

I have wanted a Balsam Hill tree for a while now & this year was the year as I live alone & could afford the smaller tree. I'm not sure what I expected but I was disappointed. Lights seem very sparse. Rule of thumb is 100 lights per foot of tree so I should have known 300 were too few but being Balsam Hill I trusted them. There was all ready a bulb burned out & I struggled to replace it & finally gave up & got in touch with the company. They were very polite & offered to send a new string of lights but I passed on the offer. Have you ever tried to replace lights on a prelit tree? Ha! So I'm just focusing on the 299 lights that are lit...lol! Makes my OCD crazy! Would I recommend this tree to family & friends? Not without them seeing mine first. Then they can make their own decision. Long story short - would I purchase another one? No...

I love my new Balsam Hill 4.5 ' Christmas tree. It cane very quickly and was relatively easy to 'fluff' the branches. It is a perfect size for my apartment. My grandchildren have enjoyed helping me make Christmas ornaments for the tree and decorating it. The tree looks very full and I know I will enjoy many years with it.

Balsam Hill customer service is exceptional- they should train other companies on how to work with customers.

Decided it was time to downsize the tree size. This is my second tree purchase from Balsam Hill. This cute little tree caught my eye and it's perfect. It can be seen from our window and is seated on the floor. If you have a big enough table could also be placed on that. If you plan on using a lighted tree topper I suggest you purchase the tree with clear lights. My sister purchased the exact same tree except with candlelight lights, it has no plug to plug in for a lighted tree topper. So she solved her problem by purchasing a battery operated tree topper. I think my twinkles a bit more too☺
