I ordered a pair of these sweats one year ago and, let me tell you, they've made a lot of changes to this product in that time. The first and most disappointing change is the increase in polyester, the new 50/50 polyester cotton blend feels terrible. It feels like wearing a plastic bag, the inner lining is irritating against the skin and it doesn't breathe well at all. Second, the cut of the sweats is disastrous. One leg is slightly longer than the other, the front of the sweats rides higher on the waist than the seat and the pocket alignment is awkward. And speaking of the pockets, they are now smaller and made of a thin, cheap material that feels like it will dissolve after just a few wears. I guess Russell decided that they need to cut a few corners to increase their bottom line. I hope they accounted for lost customers in their calculations, because I won't be purchasing from them again.

I have a pair of these Men's Open Bottom Fleece sweatpants that are about 15 years old and are just now starting to fray and fade. So, I thought I would see if they still sold anything close to this style and found that they do. They waist is not as thick as before and the string is now a pull instead of the shoe-string tie that I have; but the fit, style, pockets, open bottom are all still there. I got the Black and Heather Grey and both look and feel great. Thanks Russell Athletic for still making a great product.

Review:
I like these they are better than some I have found but wished they were built more like the previous style. The material was softer and they just felt more comfortable. The new style the material is stiffer and the hand holes for pockets feels off somehow. I know the previous style were Walmart exclusive but I wish yall could make them again

These are amazing feeling soft sweatpants which you can wear to lounge or casual out n about errands. They don’t look like lazy sweatpants like other ones.

My only complaint is that they don’t have a backpocket. I get it - these are “athletic” pants - but it’s 2023, most other modern joggers/sweats have a backpocket of some sort. At least include it even if some will not use it. Doesn’t hurt to add it. Other than that these are my favorite sweats.
