Depending On Your Needs, This Is A Fine Tablet.
JS· Review provided by walmart.com · June 25, 2024
I purchased this A7 Lite in November 2022. It's now June 2024, and I'm still going strong, enjoying this tablet.

This tablet has a bit of a lag or delay when powering on because it's not as fast as other models. That's not a big deal for me but could be for another person. My understanding is that this tablet is a budget tablet, so if you want higher end, you buy higher end.

This tablet mirrored nicely with my Galaxy Note phone. It's mirrored my phone even by putting the phone dialer right onto my tablet as well. It is a wifi tablet only, so keep that in mind.

I game on this tablet and play card and memory games only. As a person of the 70 and above club who never caught on to the fast type games, I'm speculating that a faster tablet might be needed for those gaming desires.

I utilize streaming, office features, especially calendar and the phone. I also use TextNow for wifi calling, which it turned out I don't really need with the way this tablet has mirrored my phone quite easily.

Personally, the smaller screen size is what attracted me because it is an easy to carry around screen size, and I alternate back and forth with using my galaxy phone and this tablet.

When it comes to the themes and wallpapers, I use my own pictures of whatever I download and feel looks nice. The pre-installed choices are too light or washed out for my taste, so if you care to get creative, you can figure ways around this dilemma and achieve more vibrant wallpapers, and you can change the color styles.

If you tend to hold this tablet in the portrait angle, the charging port is subject to more abuse, I think, since you'll be resting it closely with your body and cause the cable to bend more easily.

Just use the tablet in landscape mode until its fully charged, or don't use it while charging with a cable in...? Or maybe use a charging stand or disk.

The camera isn't the best but will suffice, especially outdoors or in well-lit areas. I have no issues with my tablet and use it many days in a week.

I found a nice hard back leather case that closes like a book and protects well. I do have a 10-inch tablet that I'm not as fond of because I prefer a seven or eight inch screen size tablet.
Biggy and Unreliable

While this tablet does offer some nice options, especially for people with lower vision, it is buggy and unpredictable. I One UI interface is good in theory but leads to having many windows and apps running, some in duplicate, while cluttering the screen and pushing icons aside. It is difficult to close a single open app since the x is so small that it would take the finger of a small child to strike it properly.

This unit kept disconnecting from the internet. Why? Eho knows. All my other devices didn't disconnect. The unit was used for music apps and the songs would stop playing midway though. Why? Who knows.

I spent more time trying to work around a buffy, cumbersome interface than it was worth. I have a smilar 8-yr ols Samsung tablet that performs better than this new version.

The size of the unit is fine and there are plenty of options to use to improve viewing. Various modes, text sizing, and contrast options are helpful.

Maybe it was just this one unit, but if this is the case with them all, then I would not recommend it as a reliable tech device.
[Rewarded Review] One of the best tablets out there

Tab A7 is a great product for students, you may even be in elementary. I use my tablet as a multitool, gaming, studying, learning and more.
In the gaming section, the interface is very clear and big enough to see the whole game. One of my favorite apps is Samsung Notes, it's personnalized, came with paper templates and font tools, I also use it to create notes on the tablet when I'm deprived from paper then I send the notes by bluetooth or pdf to my phone.
I haven't talked about Dolby Atmos yet ? Well it's a big win, even if the volume is high, it may be low in the headphones but Dolby makes it better and smoother.
Other thing, even if its storage is full, it still works ! Not perfectly but very good for a device that is crammed . The landscape mode mode though can be sometimes unresponsive and I wish there was Samsung themes just like other phones.
After all, just like I said this tablet is perfect for everyone and good job Samsung on making such product because it's very impressive !
Really Happy

Very happy, I wanted a screen size small enough to make it really portable and good for overnight stays, holiday and travel. Most of the offerings at this screen size were unknown manufacturers of dubious quality. I have been using it for around a year now and have no criticisms. It would be better if I had a Samsung phone so I could link it to my tablet and have full phone connectivity but not worth changing my phone just for that - if you are thinkig of buying one of these do think about phone options. I am ok when I have wi-fi as I can use whatsapp then but sometimes I would like to use the tablet for calls. Worth adding your own memory card - my has 32Gb which was a bit tight - I moved most of my data over to the extra memory card especially camera photos and now it's ok. I have heard rumours that Samsung might end this product line - I really hope they do not, my need for this size of tablet will continue for the foreseeable future and I would like to have the option to buy or upgrade at a future date if something happens to my existing one. I would also pay for a more powerful processor.
